Facilitator Bio: Dr. Barry R. Huff is Professor of Religious Studies at principia College, where he has twice been selected as Teacher of the Year. Biblical studies, especially the book of Job, was the focus of Barry's three graduate degrees. More recently, Barry has conducted fellowship research on Mary Baker Eddy and nineteenth-century biblical interpretation. Barry has given hundreds of Bible talks and  published scholarly essays.

Description: Discover the awe-inspiring relevance of the Hebrew Bible's great poetic texts to your life and our world. Explore the major prophets’ groundbreaking insights about God during times of crisis. Wrestle with vital questions and theological breakthroughs in the book of Job. Choose Your Venue - In Person or Virtual

In-Person Attendees: There are still a few spots available for the in-person event! Enjoy fellowship, meals, gracious hospitality, undistracted study, CedarS Bible Lands Park, and the peaceful beauty of the Ozarks. Pricing ranges from $600 for a bottom bunk in a deluxe all-weather cabin up to $895 for a single room with your own private bathroom. These all-inclusive prices cover meals, housing, activities, course materials, and one-year access to session recordings. If you haven't visited CedarS lately, you might be surprised by the comfortable accommodations.

Virtual Bible Study ($150/person) - Join virtually in real time from the comfort of your own home or watch recordings at your convenience! Live virtual participants will have opportunities to contribute insights, converse with others, and ask questions. All recordings will be available to registrants for unlimited replay for a full year.

Special Guests Matthew Hammond and Davya Flaharty

  • Friday night, join a hymn sing featuring hymns grounded in the Hebrew Bible.
  • Matthew and Davya will lead us in singing a hymn that resonates with the biblical focus of each session.
  • There will also be an opportunity to write your own psalm or to compose a hymn based on a psalm.

Extended Stay Option (October 1-3): Those who attend in person are invited to enjoy an additional 1-2 days at camp, including meals and a variety of optional activities - peaceful reflection, nature walks, pickleball, Bible Lands Park tours, horseback riding, and hymn composing with Matthew and Davya. Or join an optional trip to Branson Missouri's renowned Sight and Sound Theater for the production of Queen Esther. Pricing is $90 to stay through October 2nd, $160 to stay through October 3rd, plus $65 for those who attend Queen Esther. 

Financial assistance of up to 75% of tuition as needed is available for both the in-person and virtual events through The Campership Fund.  If the need is beyond what is approved through The Campership Fund, contact CedarS to help with the difference.
