2021 Year-End Giving Goals Met

With heartfelt gratitude we announce that both the waterslide Giving Tuesday challenge and the $150,000 year-end match for 2021 have been met! Gratitude abounds for the loving contributions – large and small – from hundreds of donors around the world.  Thanks to you, CedarS has now reached 83% of our Operations fundraising goal for the current fiscal year (ending September 30, 2022).  With your support, we are grateful to carry forward our mission of giving every camper an appreciation of spiritual sense and an abundance of wholesome, joyous activity.

Year-End Match- Blessing All of Camp:  The year-end match will be put to good use in hiring and training qualified and spiritually-minded staff, maintaining our facilities, underwriting the weekly metaphysical newsletter, hosting monthly Zoom hymn sings, preparing hundreds of deliciously satisfying meals, keeping our herd in quality tack and fed with hay, and most importantly, welcoming campers, staff, families, and guests back home to CedarS to flourish in an atmosphere of love and grace.

Waterslide Updates: Beyond our regular expenses, this year we needed additional funds to refurbish the waterslide. Over the years we’ve used our resources to keep the waterslide running smoothly. Many hours were spent hand sanding rough spots or sealing cracks, but the time had come for a complete renovation. Thanks to donor support on Giving Tuesday, the slide’s entire surface will get a gel-coat by a professional company prior to summer 2022. The underside will be repainted, and new support beams installed. Wood decking will be replaced with composite decking which is comfortable for bare feet.  And new waterslide mats will help campers make a splash in 2022!

Your Gifts are Still Welcome and Needed: If you haven’t had the opportunity to give and are looking for a place where your dollars will be used to promote spiritual growth and support Christian Science youth, CedarS is a grateful recipient. Tuition covers only half the cost of conducting camp so the CedarS operation can always use support. Donating to the Unrestricted Fund allows us to utilize assets for the greatest need.

With grateful hearts we press on in carrying out our mission and preparing to welcome campers home to CedarS this summer. We know Love will take us the whole way.
