Program Overview:
CedarS is partnering with Rainbow Valley Resource Network to offer a camp experience for youth with special needs.
Attendees will experience adapted camp activities accompanied by a parent or caregiver and CedarS staff assigned specifically for this group.
- Activities include a tour of Bible Lands Park, horse experiences, pool experiences, crafts, sports, and nature lessons.
- Evening activities include hymn sings, testimony meetings, campfire s'mores, and field games.
- After bedtime, parents can enjoy evening fellowship with other Christian Science adults and inspirational sessions with the camp's Christian Science care providers, while our staff stay with your loved one.
We ask that a parent or caregiver is available to support their child during activities as needed.
Housing includes air-conditioned rooms with two twin beds and a private bathroom for a camper and parent or caregiver to share.
We will work with each family to ensure your meal needs are met. A variety of kid-friendly foods are offered such as pizza, chicken nuggets, tacos, hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese, and spaghetti. Breakfasts have a main entrée, plus selections of cereals, oatmeal, eggs, and fresh fruit. Lunches and dinners include a main and side entrée, plus daily salad and PB&J options. Each meal comes with vegetarian and vegan options.
