“… God’s will for us is freedom! “God’s being is infinity, freedom, harmony, and boundless bliss.” (Science and Health, p. 481:3–4)
This is where we live, move and have our being. And since we are the reflection of God we reflect this infinity, freedom, harmony and boundless bliss. How about infinite understanding? Yes, each of God’s spiritual ideas possesses and reflects infinite understanding. How about boundless bliss? Yes, each of God’s spiritual ideas reflects and expresses boundless bliss! That means light, joy, freedom! Something we can all agree to wanting to have!
God is making us to know wisdom. God causes us to know wisdom! And we respond to that cause as we awaken to the spiritual understanding of being, of what is real and true. God causes us to know wisdom and we respond – everything in our being – responds to the Truth. Since we are spiritual, we respond to Spirit (like producing like). The effect is harmony, health, joy, movement, and holiness.
God is the Cause and the effect is wisdom, true knowledge, understanding – and, yes, freedom!
Truth is knowing itself – knowing its own infinitude!
“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” -Psalms 133:1 (NIV) Unity Each summer our CedarS family explores an uplifting theme together. This summer’s theme is “unity.” Unity is about harmony and togetherness, about feeling a deep connection to one another and finding love and trust even when it’s not […]
We invite you to join us this summer for “growth in grace”! (SH 4) Grace One way to think about grace is as a deep sense of God’s unconditional love. Grace is not something we have to earn or deserve. Grace — affording abundant joy, loving-kindness, mercy, and gratitude — is a gift, freely received […]
On page 265 of Science & Health, Mary Baker Eddy writes: “Man understands spiritual existence in proportion as his treasures of Truth and Love are enlarged. Mortals must gravitate Godward, their affections and aims grow spiritual, /they must near the broader interpretations of being, and gain some proper sense of the infinite, /in order that […]
“BEHOLD, I MAKE ALL THINGS NEW.” (REVELATION 21:5) Every single spiritual healing—the awakening to a fuller awareness of our innate harmony and health—comes about with a new insight. The dawning of a new insight about Love brings about healing. Sometimes this new insight is a startling revelation, sometimes it’s a comforting feeling, and sometimes it’s […]
To celebrate the essence of CedarS, the active, unconditional Love on which it is founded, our camp community will strive to “Give and Receive Love—the greatest Gift in the world.” We will specifically focus on the apostle Paul’s message in 1 Corinthians 13 to actively express the highest type of love—or agape in Greek. This […]
We will be focusing on Hymn 453 from the Christian Science Hymnal Supplement, “Rise up and Walk” with words and music by Peter B. Allen. This hymn, and the many Bible quotes it references, will launch our exploration of healing, freedom, purpose, harmony, belonging, being “right in this moment, doing God’s will” (verse 2). . […]
Tee world tells us that we are not already complete and must go get things (i.e. friends, significant others, money, possessions, a better body, “likes,” etc.) or use external things (technology, substances, sexual relations) to find and complete ourselves. This year’s theme helps to expose this lie and point to these truths: You are already […]
This year’s metaphysical theme was inspired by George Napper’s original song, “Welcome Home,” which includes the lyrics “this Love can be life altering, life altaring!” The message of the metaphysical theme tells us to move past the mortal dream and go straight to God for guidance, governance, and direction. This mindset and practice of putting […]
