Christie shared how the way Daniel handled his lions’ den experience is a perfect model for us when facing any scary situation. She shared handouts with copies of Briton Rivière’s prints of Daniel in the lions’ den and notes about Mary Baker Eddy’s regard for these prints that she kept nearby as inspiring reminders that allowed her to win without a fight.
Christie Hanzlik, CS, illustrates Mary Baker Eddy’s “Scientific Statement of Being” (who we are) by alternately showing the straight-line, mortal picture of man (that we are NOT) and the full circle, spiritual, image of God view of man (that we ARE!)

A young camper’s question has led me to approach this week’s Bible Lesson on “God” as an opportunity to delve even deeper into the incorporeality of divine Principle, Mind, Soul, Spirit, Life, Truth, and Love. Learning from Mary Baker Eddy’s example, this Met will sometimes make word substitutions with the intention of pondering God with a renewed sense of Truth’s incorporeality.
