P.S.S.T. Golden Text – Read together Isaiah 45:11. What is it you would like to know? Ask God because answers “are freely given to us of God”.

P.S.S.T. Responsive Reading – Acknowledge the talents and gifts you have. What are some of these listed in the Responsive Reading? From whom do they come? What do you think it means to live and walk in the spirit?

Read together again the Golden Text. Read also Hymn 342 from the Christian Science Hymnal (below). What do you think it means to freely give? Once something has been given can it ever be taken away? So what Spirit has given you is yours permanently. What is the best gift Spirit has given mankind? To be like Spirit or spiritual, permanently so.

P.S.S.T. Section 1 – Ask students, By your observation what are gifts of Spirit, what wonderful works do you see in your life and all around you? How are you blessed of the Spirit? S2. What is the basis for your affirmation that you are perfect? S3. Why is diversity in your observation a good thing? S4.

P.S.S.T. Section 2 – Can you ever be separate from Spirit? Can you ever be separated from the gifts Spirit has given you? Read together citation B6. How does the story of Jacob in citation B7 affirm the Permanence of God, Spirit, ever with you and all mankind? What was Jacob’s conclusion in citation B7, verse 16? What does Mary Baker Eddy assure us of in citation S7, lines 31-32? Ask students to memorize the definition of Angels in citation S8. Remind students they can always go to God with a question and expect and receive an answer.

P.S.S.T. Section 3 – What does citation B12 tell us that we have always known? What are the promises of Spirit as recorded in citation B12?

Citation S11 is a good memory opportunity – feel the energy of Spirit and rejoice in the powers that be, which are yours.

Read the story of Florence Nightingale in citation S16. What do citations S16 and S17 tell you about your own freedoms? Freedom of thought, action, strength, speech, with no deprivation.

P.S.S.T. Section 4 – From where does your power come to overcome any adversity? (B13 and B14) What was Jesus’ question for the man at the pool of Bethesda in citation B15? Instead of a firm Yes, the man offered excuses or beliefs as to why he wasn’t healed. Jesus had no belief in superstition or history of mater or material evidences. Where was Jesus’ thought? S23. What were the spiritual facts that Jesus knew? What was the result? Do you acknowledge that you have the mental might to offset human misconceptions? Why is this so? S24. God has made you capable! Read together Hymn 460 from the Christian Science Hymnal Supplement (below).

P.S.S.T. Section 5 – What is God’s promise to you? B18. Read together the story of Peter in citation B19. How was God’s promise to Peter kept? How was Peter delivered? By the Spirit of the Lord. What are some synonyms for liberty? How were Jacob, the man at the pool of Bethesda, and Peter all set free? Isn’t freedom or liberty the natural state of man? What is our job then? To demonstrate our natural freedom or liberty. S26. What are some qualities of freedom listed in citation S29? Harmony, boundless bliss, at one with Infinite Spirit. Hymn 342

This is the day the Lord hath made; Be glad, give thanks, rejoice; Stand in His presence, unafraid, In praise lift up your voice. All perfect gifts are from above, And all our blessings show The amplitude of God’s dear love Which every heart may know.

The Lord will hear before we call, And every need supply; Good things are freely given to all Who on His word rely. We come today to bring Him praise Not for such gifts alone, But for the higher, deeper ways In which His love is shown.

For sin destroyed, for sorrow healed, For health and peace restored; For Life and Love by Truth revealed, We thank and bless the Lord. This is the day the Lord hath made, In praise lift up your voice. In shining robes of joy arrayed, Be glad, give thanks, rejoice.
