PSST Golden Text
How are the flesh and Spirit set against each other? Why can we not have some of both?
PSST Responsive Reading
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing. And since the flesh and spirit are opposites, which do you want to choose?
What are the differences between the spirit of the world and the spirit of God?
Why do the things of God's Spirit appear foolish to the natural man? How do we see spiritually?
PSST Section 1
How does our study of this section support the two Cardinal points of Christian Science: the allness of God and the nothingness of error? (SH p.52)
PSST Section 2
It is important to recognize why so called miracles are not miracles. Why? What does this section teach us about miracles? Define "miracle" with your students. If not miraculous, what then are these miracles?
PSST Section 3
What is the origin of life and all being? How does the Shunamite woman express her knowledge of this? (Read the entire story to get a fuller sense of this concept).
PSST Section 4
What makes up the Spirit that dwells within us and what does Naaman's experience reveal about it? Consider how humility fits into this conversation, and also how this conversation reaches beyond humility.
PSST Section 5
How far are your students willing to take the statement that there is no power but of God? What further foundational principles of the Science of Being are expressed in this section? Explore how each of these principles are demonstrated in the stories of this week's lesson, and in the daily lives of your students.
PSST Section 6
How in life are your students tempted to serve two masters? What problems arise when we fall to these temptations, and how does this section expose those problems? Explore the Bible thoroughly with this question in thought. What makes each success possible, and what leads to each failure/defeat? Is it not the difference having a single eye (Matt 6:22) or divided allegiances?
