P.S.S.T. Golden Text – How many Gods are there? What does it mean to love God completely – with all thy heart, soul, mind, and strength. How do you personally express God? Ask students to share recent experiences where they noticed in themselves how they were expressing God’s qualities.

P.S.S.T. Responsive Reading – Ask students to state the prayers of petition in the Responsive Reading:

  • My soul thirsteth for thee
  • Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness
  • Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk
  • Preserve my soul
  • Save thy servant that trusteth in thee

Ask students to state the prayers of affirmation in the Responsive Reading:

  • Praise him for his mighty acts
  • All nations… shall come and worship before thee
  • And shall glorify thy name
  • Thou art great
  • Doest wondrous things
  • I will glorify thy name for evermore

P.S.S.T. Section 1 – Can God desire or declare anything and shall it not be done? What did God tell Moses to declare as God’s name? I AM THAT I AM. In addition, what else might have God declared to finish the I AM statement?

  • I AM All-in-all
  • I AM Life, truth, Spirit, Soul, Mind, Love Principle
  • I AM universal good
  • I AM presence

The declaration I AM THAT I AM signifies what?

  • The only
  • Only one
  • The basis of all that is expressed
  • Permanent, changeless, universal good

What’s the relationship between God & that which God creates found in citation S4?

  • Indestructible
  • No lapse from nor return to harmony
  • Divine order or spiritual law is
  • God’s creation is perfect and eternal, unchanged
  • God changes not

P.S.S.T. Section 2 – Is the spirit of the Lord God upon you? B9
What is it that you are declared to do, therefore? How can you:

  • Preach good tidings to the meek
  • Bind up the broken-hearted
  • Proclaim liberty to the captives
  • Open the prison to them that are bound

What is God’s promise to you in citation B11?

In the Science and Health portion of this lesson, ask students to state that which is absolutely so about God and God’s creation

Example: God is infinite

P.S.S.T. Section 3 – How does God walk among us today? B12
Are you the evidence of God with us, God walking among us? How?

  • Read aloud together the Bible story in citations B14-B17. How was Joseph’s life evidence of always under God’s care, never abandoned?
  • What were the attributes or qualities of God in this story? S15
  • What attributes or qualities of God are we called upon to exhibit or express? S16
  • Read further the demands with the Question and Answer in citation S17.
  • What does it mean to “love thy neighbor as thyself”?

P.S.S.T. Section 4 – Jesus introduced the teaching and practice of Christianity. S19. What are we to do to follow his example and truly be called Christians? S19, S20, S23

Ask students to write out a prayer treatment as the healer would in citation S23. Pick a personal, family, community, or world problem and speak to nullify it with your divine authority.

P.S.S.T. Section 5 – What doth the Lord require of us in citation B21?
Are you in the kingdom of God? How do you know? How would others know you are in the kingdom of God?

  • Read together the definition of Kingdom of Heaven in citation S24.
  • Memorize from citation S26 lines 32-5.

What happens to us when we learn how to be perfect and practice it? S27. You are revealed as perfect and so is everyone else. That is practical Christianity and it is demonstrable here and now.
