Ken Cooper’s Combined Bible Translations for the Lesson on “Love”

Inspired by  citations from the Christian Science Quarterly Bible Lesson on “LOVE” for January 29 to February 4, 2024

[W. This was emailed to me today from Ken on his vacation with a note “.. with apologies full service delayed… sending this to you as a possible interim contribution. I have found it very helpful (for key Bible verses), and hope it may so prove to others.”]

Jeremiah 31:3           The Lord appeared a long time back and has consistently and so clearly stated: “I have loved you, I always do and ever will: My Love constantly draws you to Me, forever close and cared for. I have made you Mine, and I AM ever-faithful.”

Jeremiah 31:16           This is My Promise to you: You will no longer have cause for crying, for your eyes to be full of tears. All the work you have done on My behalf shall be duly rewarded, and your children shall return from the enemy and you will be together again

Revelation 21:1         And I looked around me in amazement, for everything was completely new, – the old heaven and earth, including the sea, had completely vanished!

Revelation 21:2         And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, the eternal dwelling place of all believers, coming down out of heaven from God. It was prepared like a bride adorned and beautifully dressed for her husband!

Revelation 21:3         Then I heard a mighty voice from heaven and I felt and perceived its distinct words, saying, See! The abode of God is with men, and He will live among them; and they shall be His people, and God shall personally be with them and be their God for evermore.

Revelation 21:4        With God in complete control there will no longer be any tears in your eyes, – no more death, suffering of any kind, no crying, no more pain. All these things are past, gone for ever.

Revelation 21:5         And God, sitting on his eternal throne said, “Behold, whatever I make is always fresh and new, – it has no history, for everything is my constant reflection, as I think of them.” Jesus said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true, incorruptible, and stand for ever.”

Revelation 21:6        And God said “It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, without beginning or end, the only living infinite ONE that you can now see. I will give water to all who are thirsty and they will drink from My ever-flowing fountain of the fresh and abundant water of life.

Revelation 21:7         He that is victorious, and overcomes the world as was, shall inherit and possess all that is Mine, (the spiritual reality of all things), for God says  I AM his God , and HE IS My son.

EXTRA   Luke 15:31    His father replied, “My son, you are always with me, every moment, for all that I AM you are. (You are My consciousness, My every thought, infinite good). [The prodigal son is a story of Love. When the father ran towards him and kissed him, this togetherness is as the vision of John, and our vision too…..]

Psalm 30:5               Your wrath is momentary, but your good grace lasts for ever. In the same way, weeping may last through the night, (the old heaven and earth pass away) but the morning always comes and guarantees our progress with smiles of joy. (the abode of God IS with men..)

1 John 4.7      Beloved, let us love one another, for love springs forth freely from God; and everyone who loves his fellowman is born of God and knows and understands God, for God is Love.

1 John 4.8      The person who doesn’t love doesn’t know the first thing about God,-you can’t know Him if you don’t love, because that is what God is, Love itself!

1 John 4:12     No one has ever seen God with human eyes, but if we love one another God makes His permanent home in us, and His Love is made perfect in all that we do, so we see completely what perfect love is and does.

1 John 4:16     And we know by experience, and have a deep reliance also, on the love that God has for each of us. God is Love, and he that dwells in God’s love will find that God is dwelling in him.

Psalm 116:1   I so love the Lord, because He hears and continues to hear My voice and my pleas, my cries, all my specific needs.

Zephaniah 03:17         The Lord your God is always with you, in the midst of your very being, mighty and strong, and ever victorious. Nothing defeats Him! He will rest in His love, so satisfied by what He has done, singing with joy because of what you are.

Psalm 18:1             I love You fervently and devotedly, I am bonded to You. You make me strong and powerful in Thy strength.

Psalms 18:2              God is my mighty rock, my fortress and protector. The rock where I am kept safe, my shield, and triumphant strength, my place of shelter.

Psalms 018:06             In my terrible trouble, so much anguish, feeling tied up by thick ropes, I called upon my Lord, I cried unto my God for help. In His Sanctuary He heard me, knew and responded to my need.

Psalms 18:16             He reached down from the heavens, and His mighty hand held me, He lifted me up, yes, completely away from the raging waters and deep swell that had tried to overwhelm me.

Jeremiah 31:16           This is My Promise to you: You will no longer have cause for crying, for your eyes to be full of tears. All the work you have done on My behalf shall be duly rewarded, and your children shall return from the enemy and you will be together again.

Isaiah 66:13    As a mother tenderly comforts and calms her child, so will I tenderly comfort and calm you, and you will find comfort and peace in Jerusalem. It will feel nice and safe, at home.

Isaiah 25:8      The Lord All-Powerful will destroy the power of death, it will be gone forever. He will wipe away all tears for evermore. No longer will his people be insulted and mocked everywhere. It will all be of the past. The Lord has spoken!

John 11:43      When he said all these things Jesus then called out with divine authority: “Lazarus! Come  forth!”  (Come out from where you are!”)

John 11:44      And he that had been dead four days, immediately emerged from the tomb, wrapped with strips of burial cloth, with a cloth covering his face. Jesus then told the people, “Loose him, see him as he is, and let him free.”

2 Corinthians 7:9    Now I am indeed glad for what has happened, because your sorrow brought repentance, turned you more deeply to God, and no one has been harmed.

2 Corinthians 7:10    For to be distressed in a godly way causes people to change the way they think, a true repentance that leads to the certainty of salvation. That is no cause for regret! But worldly sorrow is misdirected and leads inevitably to death.

2 Corinthians 7:11      So just look and rejoice at what has happened with this change of heart!  The earnest care it has wrought in you, the desire for truth,  the firm intent to see that righteousness is followed and upheld, that your innocence is seen and proved.

2 Peter 3:9       God will do what He has promised when it is the right time, – so don’t ever think He is being slow. He knows what is needed, and He is patient , because He wants everyone to turn from sin, and none to be lost.

Psalm 126:5   They that sow in tearful sorrow will surely find that when harvest comes they will reap in such glorious abundance, the sorrow long forgotten in present infinite joy!

John 16:20      Let me assure you of this: the time will come when you will be very sad, while the world will be rejoicing at your loss; but your grieving will give birth to a far greater joy.

John 16:21       As with a woman in childbirth who may well be in great pain, – that pain becomes as nothing when her child is born, for that gives immeasurable joy, – the pain is past and forgotten.

John 16:22      So while you may be feeling pain now, I tell you for sure that I will see you again , and your hearts shall rejoice and be exceeding glad, – and no man will be able to take your joy and gladness from you ever again.
