THE WORD HAS ALWAYS BEEN, while matter masquerades as having a cause and effect, an existence which starts, runs but always ends, and is therefore nothing. The WORD is already ALL-IN-ALL, complete, and its substance is the perfection and omnipresence of Spirit. So what and where is matter? God knows it not because it is not.

2+2=4 cannot conceive of 2+2=5, and is unaffected by the lie /illusion that may present itself. 2+2=5 can never become true, no matter how often it is said! Our denial of matter and all its false claims, needs to be as quick and prompt, as clear and obvious, as the lie 2+2=5. Mary Baker Eddy is very clear on this: “MAN IS NOT MATERIAL, HE IS SPIRITUAL.” Dismiss the lie of matter! FOCUS ON THE TRUTH OF SPIRIT!

RESPONSIVE READING.

Ecclesiastes 2:10     Anything I saw and desired, I sought out, not holding back! I did not refuse anything and did not miss out!  Anything my heart wanted I went for, and the great pleasure so won was the reward for all my hard work.

Ecclesiastes 2:11     But then I looked at everything I had done, and thought about all the hard work it had taken. Suddenly I realized it was useless, like chasing after the wind. There is simply no benefit from anything we seek on this earthly plain;

John 6:63        It is the spirit that gives life; the flesh is useless, of no help whatever. It has no benefit to you at all.  The words, the truths, that I have spoken to you, they are spiritual, and it is these that provide an eternal and full life.

 This lesson is a call to watch and check our thinking! Mary Baker Eddy writes “You must control evil thoughts in the first instance, or they will control you in the second. …Evil thoughts and aims reach no farther and do no more harm than one’s belief permits.” S&H p234:26–27, 31–32).

 Is matter then an evil thought? Yes! It is a belief that Mind is not infinitely manifested, that God is not All-in-all. “If God, Spirit, Mind, is all, is all power, presence, and reality, then matter, evil, is naught, is not.” This is from Lecture from the Mother Church 1905, given by Sue Harper Mims, who knew Mrs Eddy, and a talk so relevant to our present needs! This is a lecture that one can really feel being there at that time, and knowing its relevance now to our present time.  It recognises in its entirety the Scientific Statement of Being, the nothingness of matter, the All-ness and presence of God.

 It is a call to “PROVE ALL THINGS; HOLD FAST THAT WHICH IS GOOD” (B cit.15: 1 Thessalonians 5:21)

 1 Thessalonians 5:21 Don’t be gullible either. Check out everything, prove what you believe, keeping only, and holding on to only, what’s really good.

1 Thessalonians 5:22  Steer clear and avoid evil in any form or appearance. Don’t be fooled by sin.

 DON’T BE FOOLED BY MATTER!
