C.A.M.P. Gem 1—Feel fearlessly “anchored in eternity” & never lose sight of the grace of God’s presence! [Cobbey on Ps. 56:4 before Golden Text, Psalm 56:11, 13]
“…Paul ultimately had to get to the point where he was “forgetting those things that are behind” and, instead, “reaching forth unto those things which are before.” (Phil 3:13) That’s how he knew he would make progress…. That’s how he took Christianity around the globe. That’s how he found God’s grace – discovered the presence of God here – the link to God that he could now make his priority. And then he could never lose sight to his link to God, because if we never lose sight of that, we’re anchored in eternity. And there is nothing, then, as…one of the Psalms said that Jesus would sing before he went out to get dinner: “I will not fear what flesh (or man) can do unto me.” (Ps. 56:4)
“Remnant,” by B. Cobbey Crisler**

Treat fear, not the flesh, to have dominion! Cobbey on Ps. 56:4 (pre-Golden Text) –

“Speaking of fear, look at Psalm 56, Verse 4, “I will not fear what?” “What flesh can do unto me.” So, flesh isn’t the problem. But guess what is? Fear. It’s fearing what flesh can do unto me. Flesh is not the patient, then. One of the most radical discoveries in Biblical therapy: we’ve been treating the wrong patient. That’s not the problem in Biblical thought. [It] wants to be absent from the flesh, not even weigh it in, factor it in to Biblical healing. The flesh has naught to say, but completely submits to what the mental state dictates. That’s dominion.”

C.A.M.P. Gem 2 –Take each step like a sheep who totally trusts its Shepherd!
Insights by Ruth Huff & others into Psalm 23 (RR, S9). Apply each line to yourself!

“Psalm 23 and ME”

Claim these divinely REAL definitions of YOUR heritage in the TWENTY-THIRD PSALM!
They negate the supposed “23 and me” genetic domination of 23 pairs of ancestral
X-Y chromosomes and can prove that they Do Not Apply (D.N.A.) to the real you!

[Bracketed substitutions from Mary Baker Eddy to show "the light which

Christian Science throws on the Scriptures" with an "incorporeal

or spiritual sense" of Love. (Science & Health 578, S9)]

"[Divine Love] is my shepherd;" That’s MY RELATIONSHIP

"I shall not want." That’s MY SUPPLY!

"[Love] maketh me to lie down in green pastures:" That’s MY REST!

"[Love] leadeth me beside still waters." That’s MY REFRESHMENT!

C.A.M.P. Gem 3Hope in God to cure depression! Cobbey Crisler on Ps 42:11 (B8)

“Psalm 42, Verse 11 is a refrain in this psalm and the next. [Ps. 43.5] It’s a question we all need to ask ourselves, "Why art thou cast down?” Depression, if not an economic fact, seems to be a mental one at present. "Why art thou cast down? Examine the reasons. "Why art thou disquieted within me?" That's getting mad in a sense. That's challenging what we are accepting without question. Why am I depressed? Why is this disquiet? What's the reason for it? Then notice the remedy. "Hope thou in God: praise God, hope in God. The health of our countenance is in God. "
“Leaves of the Tree: Prescriptions from Psalms,” by B. Cobbey Crisler**

“Verse 11 [of Psalm 42] is the effect of that [enemy] thought [of questioning the existence of God in verse 10]. Our “soul is cast down,” our whole identity depressed, “disquieted.” Only “hope in God” restored will restore “the health of our countenance,” showing the physical effect of the mental cause.”

C.A.M.P. Gem 4a—Raise the dead like Jesus did, by first putting-out all grief! [“from… grief afar, and nearer Thee, Father where thine own children are, I love to be.” Hymn 254:6]
Cobbey Crisler on Matt. 9:18-26, Mark 5:22-42 (B10):

“In context, after Jairus asks Jesus to come heal his daughter who was “at the point of death” (in the version related in Mark 5:23), a woman in the crowd presses through it to touch the fringes of Jesus’ prayer shawl. Although she’d been “unclean” with non-stop hemorrhaging for 12 years (the age of Jairus’ daughter), “The woman was made whole that very hour” … Jesus stops, realizing that one healing does not affect the outcome of the other.”
“(Verse 23) ‘And he goes into the ruler’s house, with all sorts of instruments and noise.’ There were paid mourners. We’re told by Josephus that even the poorest family had at least two pipes and a couple of horns playing at a funeral. So, you can imagine what a ruler of the synagogue would have sounded like, probably like a symphony by Shostakovich. He comes in there. Just think of the atmosphere that’s going on. Jesus alters the atmosphere before he heals.

(Verse 24) ‘He says the maid is not dead but sleepeth.’ That apparently means he felt unable to affect a cure, a raising of the dead, in the presence of the weight of grief. If he’d kicked everybody out while they were crying, he would not have been supported by the social custom of that day or this, would he?
You don’t go into a funeral and sweep everybody out who’s crying. That’s why they’re there. They came to cry. Notice what Jesus does. This was pointed out to me by someone who is really respected for her Scriptural insight. I’d really missed the point. Jesus changed the whole environment.
He made a statement that was perfectly true to him but which was ridiculous to the average human thought. He said “The maid is not dead, she’s only sleeping in there.” So, notice how deep the grief ran. They all suddenly laughed. You and I know, you don’t laugh at funerals.
(Verse 25) ‘He could clear everybody out who was laughing. Then proceeds to raise the child.’]

C.A.M.P. Gem 4b—Discover why there’s no reason to fear—or to hurry—in
Ken Cooper’s poem from Jairus’ viewpoint.

A PDF copy of this poem about Jairus’ daughter is attached as a Download PDF in the upper right corner of online CedarS Met versions. You can hear it at YouTube link https://youtu.be/o_Z-F8YdLOo

There Ken adds: “Fear is the belief that God is not infinite, while understanding is the knowledge that He is. This understanding is the self-expression of infinite Mind, that cannot see anything unlike itself because there is nothing outside the infinite to see. When Jairus first went to Jesus, he sought his help from the mortal basis of fear, that Jesus had to reach his home in a hurry. But Love was already there, and Jesus knew there was no reason to fear, or hurry. We all have the Mind of Christ. God will help, strengthen and uphold, simply because Mind is infinite. Hence, we express the perfection of Thought, we are perfection that is man. Jesus proved it.”
