Ken shares poetry that shows THROUGH FAITH WE PROVE THE UNREALITY OF SIN, DISEASE AND DEATH.

“ARE SIN, DISEASE, AND DEATH REAL?”

Continuing a theme from last week, if asked “Are two plus two five?”, how quick is the response, – “NO!”, – and how quick and certain should our response be with the question “Are sin, disease, and death real?” “NO!” DENIAL ALSO REQUIRES AFFIRMATION. Isn’t the instinct actually to answer immediately with the fact, the underlying knowledge: “Two plus two is four”, or in this case, “Purity, health, and Life are the real!” Which is real to us? Matter? or God? Which is real?

Would we dwell upon the lie 2+2=5? So, why dwell upon the lie, the false suggestion, of sin, disease and death? Jesus quickly dismissed all the temptations of evil: “Away and begone, Satan!! It is written in the scriptures “You must worship and love the Lord thy God and Him alone, absolutely“ (Matthew 4:17), and angel thoughts immediately came and gave him all he needed. From that point on, he preached the presence of the kingdom of heaven: “Change your thinking! Seek only God’s purpose, and you will find that His kingdom is already here and within you, (as it is within me).” (Matthew 4:17). That is the real!

Change your perception of sin, disease and death! (NO!) to the presence within you (consciousness) of the kingdom of heaven (YES!). This is to “Pray without ceasing.” (Responsive Reading/1^st Thes. 5:17), and the effect is peace and our perfection revealed.

All the above show the impact of consistent prayer. PRAYER IS LOVE IN ACTION. Therefore, we have the direct message: LOVE WITHOUT CEASING! “Just live love—be it—love, love, love. Do not know anything but Love. Be all love” (We Knew Mary Baker Eddy, Expanded Edition, Volume 1, p. 296).  

FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE IS BOTH LISTENING AND RESPONDING, and indicates our close relationship with Father-Mother God. Knowing that “Love is reflected in love” (SH 17:7)

Years ago when my wife and I were training a herd of alpacas, we were warned that “Practice makes permanent, not necessarily perfect!” The call to repentance is to stop making permanent any reference to the material body, but to transform thought to make permanent our focus on God, prayer, love.  

Imagine living in an area where there is no violence, no deceit, pain, or fear, just the ever-presence of peace, integrity, harmony, faith, hope, and love. That’s where we already are. So let’s not imagine it, but live it!

PRAYER, LOVE WITHOUT CEASING, GIVES FREEDOM FROM SIN, DISEASE AND DEATH, AND REVEALS OUR PRESENT PERFECTION, LIFE IN LOVE, THE “SINLESS JOY” OF PRESENT SALVATION.

SALVATION. Life, Truth, and Love understood and demonstrated as supreme over all; sin, sickness, and death destroyed.  (SH cit. S5/593:20)

ARE SIN, DISEASE AND DEATH REAL? No! Not where I am living, in the infinity of Life, Truth, and Love.
