APPLICATION GEMS for WHY & HOW TO RUN TO MEET YOUR GOLIATHS!

FULFILL YOUR GOD-GIVEN HERITAGE AS DOMINION MAN, NOT DUST MAN!
Cobbey Crisler on Psalm 8:4, 6/Responsive Reading: “What is man that… put all things under his feet.” (EVEN YOUR gOLIATHS)

[Cobbey:] “Psalm 8, Verse 4. What is the presumption behind biblical therapy? What is its premise? We know it would be based on the question in verse 4 in part, “What is man?” That has been the most elusive answer to any question for the human race, except, perhaps, what is God? Who am I? The great unanswered question. Or does the Bible provide answers that fill that gap in thought, that vacuity? The answer given here biblically is “Thou madest him to have dominion.”
You need to have a premise on which to base the whole idea or concept of biblical healing or therapy. It’s based on the fact that man has dominion. Of course, that immediately recalls to us God’s pronouncement of that effect in Genesis 1 [Verse 26]. If dominion is part of the nature of man, what does that say about man’s ability to get rid of disease? We can’t have dominion and be dominated simultaneously. The logic of that premise requires us to search out more deeply what the Bible is telling us about man’s nature as it relates to God because it’s on that basis that we are having these prescriptions filled…
If it’s God’s theology, according to the Bible, it works. God’s theology in the Bible can never be confined to theory. When God spake, what happened? It was done. That’s how quickly His medicine works…
“In biblical terms, [Psalms 8:6], “Thou makest him to have dominion.” What is there about this fact that we can apply? Are the Psalms, in part, the threshold of our discovery of this throughout the entire Bible?”

FIND FRESH WAYS TO “SING UNTO GOD A NEW SONG.” (Ps 96:1/RR)
even “…a new song in … praise unto our God.”  (Psalm 40:3)

[Warren Huff:]  When we fully embrace Life’s forever newness, you and I will fully expect fun, un-outlined ways for God to supply answers to our every need. We have examples of this in the way that the ravens supplied Elijah (I Kings 17:1-6) and in how Jesus is giving “living water” to us like he did to the Samaritan woman at the well (John 4:7-26).  As our lives sing with new manifestations of “infinity, freedom, harmony, and boundless bliss,” (S&H 481) all their supposed opposites will naturally be ruled out of us enabling us to forever overcome every lie of limitation; every seemingly enslaving habit; every thought of inharmony, division and strife; and every unhappiness arising from disappointed human will.
What a relief to know that it’s by God’s will and “amazing grace”— not by any of our own efforts, other than leaning on God — that we are given lives “big with blessings.” As Mary Baker Eddy has proven and promised: “To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings” (vii:1) What could be bigger blessings than daily demonstrations that the newness of Life in God is ALL-inclusive: “Behold, I make all things new!” (Revelation 21:5).

BE INSPIRED BY GOD CAUSING YOU TO HEAR AND ACCEPT HIS/HER EVER-NEW LOVINGKINDNESS from a favorite Hymn (#457) from Ps. 143:8, cit. B5:

[Christie Hanzlik, CS:] “I have found this prayer—“Cause me to hear your lovingkindness”—crucial because it is often difficult to turn away from discord that feels very, very real. For me, it has not enough been sufficient to lean on human reasoning or intellectualism, but at some point, I have to let go with humility and ask Truth to, “Cause me to hear your lovingkindness.”  Truth is the cause, the cause without beginning.  When I’m praying this prayer, I am essentially letting the Truth of being inform me and affirming that, “Since God is All, there is no room for His unlikeness. God, Spirit, alone created all, and called it good. Therefore evil, being contrary to good, is unreal, and cannot be the product of God.”
From a CedarS 9-25-22 Met by Christie Hanzlik, CS (from Section 4)

AS YOU GO TO BATTLE YOUR “GOLIATHS,” LIKE DAVID, TAKE “5 SMOOTH STONES” (I Samuel 17:4-50/cit. B11). Claim and carry as your mental ammunition from God, divine STRENGTH, PROTECTION, CONFIDENCE, GRATITUDE, LOVE.
Know, like David, that every lie – no matter how BIG – falls quickly
to just one right conviction of truth—as does a flimsy fable to a known fact!

See application insights by Christie Hanzlik, CS, in her CedarS Met . here’s a portion of her Met (with links from Section 4):

[Christie says: “Along these lines, here is a link to a Daily Lift video I made about David’s advantage over Goliath:  “Goliath never stood a chance.” (The video is also available on my web site). And I also gave a longer talk on this titled “Five Smooth Stones,” which is available here.”

OUR WHOLENESS CAUSED BY GOD’S WHOLENESS DOESN’T ALLOW FOR “A GAP CALLED BLINDNESS!” Cobbey Crisler on Matt. 20:30-34 (cit. B14) similar to cases of blindness healed in Mark 10:46-52 & Luke 10:35-43

“In Chapter 10 of Mark, Verse 46, “They come to Jericho; and the healing of blind Bartimaeus” who [in Verse 47] calls and calls and all of his friends and neighbors tell him to keep quiet, “Quiet, you’re bothering Jesus.”  Here’s the man with the need that Jeremiah [31:8] had said would be attracted by the New Covenant.  The blind would come and be attracted as Jeremiah had said.  So, they told him to keep quiet in Verse 48; didn’t have much effect on him; he kept calling.  [In Verse 49] Jesus heard through the crowd and healed him.  Notice that he uses in Verse 52, “thy faith hath made thee whole”—the wholeness of man.  The concept of the wholeness of man under the wholeness of God doesn’t allow for a gap called blindness.”
